The West Coast is full of heritage with many historic gold and coal mining towns and sites to visit. The History House museum in Greymouth is a great place to learn more about the history of the West Coast. The Brunner Mine Site is free to visit and for a small charge Shantytown Heritage Park is one of Greymouth’s leading attractions and well worth spending some time exploring.
