TranzAlpine Woodland Escape will have you wowed by the West Coast nature at its finest. Travel through the Southern Alps, Christchurch to Greymouth on the world famous Scenic TranzAlpine Train. Be Picked up by Explore West Coast and transferred down to Woodland Glen Lodge, Hokitika.

TranzAlpine Train

Departing Christchurch on a crisp morning you will take the five hour journey over the Canterbury plains, over viaducts and gorges, through the Southern Alps and into the West Coast wilderness. Arriving into Greymouth where you will be transferred by Explore West Coast, to Monteith’s Brewery for taste testing of the famous West Coast beer.

Explore West Coast

Picked up at the Train Station by Explore West Coast your tour specialists. First stop is Monteith’s Brewery then transferred down to your accommodation for the night Woodland Glen Lodge. On your second day enjoy a Hokitika Gorge and Tree Top Walkway tour. Before being driven back to Greymouth to catch the train.

Woodland Glen Lodge

Woodland Glen Lodge Bed and Breakfast – accommodation set in a beautiful country house 2km out of Hokitika on the wild west coast of New Zealand. You will stay in the Mahinapua King Room with options to upgrade. Escape the bustle of the city for tranquility when you stay. You will have 21acres of park like grounds to wander, along with a wonderful orchard to sit and enjoy listening to the birds maybe enjoying a glass of wine.
