Car Parking & Car Relocations:

If you decide to park your car at Blackball, we offer a car relocation service to bring it to Punakaiki so it is ready for you at the end of your walk. Then it is parked here in our carpark. Car relocations and parking can been booked through the book now link above.

At the Punakaiki Beach Camp we have a secure carpark for Great Walk guests. This is the only secure car parking in Punakaiki and a great place to leave your car with clean clothes and supplies ready for you at the end of your walk. Punakaiki Beach Camp is located right opposite the end of the Paparoa Track, so is an obvious place to park and stay to recover from an epic few days on the track.

– Holiday Houses

Through the Punakaiki Beach Camp five magnificent holiday houses available to rent, four in Punakaiki and one in Blackball. These are great for resting before and after your Paparoa Great Walk. 

– Campsites
Powered and non-powered sites at the Punakaiki Beach Camp are surrounded by native bush and have incredible views of the impressive limestone cliffs which look down on the camp. With less than a minute’s walk down to the beach, camping at the Punakaiki Beach Camp is really like staying in paradise. All sites include hot showers and use of kitchen facilities.

– Cabins
Here at the Punakaiki Beach Camp we have twenty cabins dotted around the camp, two of which are self contained. Only a minutes walk to the Punakaiki beach and Pororari river they are perfect to rest your head before or after this amazing adventure, The Paparoa Track.
