Accommodation

The Lodge is a stunning, sustainably built home, crafted with care by your hosts, Robyn and Malcolm Smith. Constructed from timber milled right on their farm. This beautiful retreat is the result of years of dedication, hard work, and inspiration.

Designed with sustainability at its core, the Lodge operates completely off-grid. A waterwheel provides the primary power source, complemented by a backup solar panel array to ensure a reliable energy supply.

Hot water is heated by solar panels during the summer months, while in winter, a wetback system in the wood burner keeps it warm and efficient. The same wood burner also provides cozy heating throughout the Lodge, using firewood sustainably harvested from the farm.

With 100% renewable energy and eco-friendly design, the Lodge offers a truly sustainable and comfortable stay, where nature and modern convenience work in perfect harmony.

Bedrooms

The Lodge offers two spacious and beautifully designed bedrooms, each a mirror image of the other.

The Napoleon Hill Room features a comfortable queen-sized bed, while the Orwell Creek Room boasts a luxurious king-sized bed.

Both rooms open onto a large veranda through elegant French doors, offering breathtaking views of the waterwheel and the serene valley beyond.

The Bathroom

The Lodge features a shared bathroom, exclusively for guests of the Napoleon Hill and Orwell Creek rooms. Thoughtfully designed and custom-built by your hosts, this modern space boasts a luxurious double shower and a spacious bathtub for ultimate relaxation.

Amenities & Dining

A continental breakfast is included in your stay, with tea and coffee facilities available in the Lodge’s kitchen. If you’d like additional meals, home-cooked dishes are available at an extra cost—Robyn takes great pride in preparing delicious, hearty meals. Please arrange any extra meals prior to check-in.
