The premier Aoraki Mount Cook flight seeing experience, The Grand Traverse encompasses two World Heritage National Parks in a tour of 200 kms amongst New Zealand’s highest mountains and largest glaciers.
From the rain forest and coastal plains of Westland to the vast snowfields and dramatic icefalls of the Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers. Then around Aoraki Mount Cook (3754 metres) , Mount Tasman and over the Tasman Glacier (29 km long) to the huge glacial valleys, tussock lands and turquoise glacial lakes of the Mackenzie Basin.
The large and varied aircraft fleet is ideally suited to flight seeing. Every passenger has a window seat, and all aircraft have wings above to ensure optimum viewing below.
