Milford Sound

Milford Sound is found within Fiordland National Park. Daytime and over night cruises along with kayaking and scenic flights and the famous Mitre Peak, seen to rise dramatically out of the water to a steep point along with Milford Sounds varied wildlife from penguins, fur seals and dolphins makes this area breathtaking to explore. It is the most accessible sound with access by road or air and the drive from Te Anau is 2.5 hours. The return journey is 240km and with no fuel stations along the way you are best fuel up in Te Anau.
